Basketball Shooting: Around the World
Schedule: Friday, June 18, 2010 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Venue: Valley High School (click for map)
3650 Woodland Avenue, West Des Moines
Divisions: 5-Year Age Brackets (i.e. 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69…)
Event Regulations & Format:
1. Participants must check-in within one hour of the scheduled starting time.
2. Male participants will use a regulation size basketball for men. Women will use a regulation size basketball for women. Participants may use their own basketball.
3. Each participant will be allowed 2 practice shots from any of the 5 designated spots.
4. Each participant will be allowed 15 official shots (3 at each of the 5 designated spots marked on the floor in any order they wish).
5. Participants must release their shot from behind the designated lines, but are allowed to touch or go beyond the lines in their follow through. Any violations will be considered a missed shot.
6. Each participant will be allowed only one chance to shoot his/her official shots.
7. In case of a tie, the player with the most consecutive successful shots will be considered the winner. If a tie still remains, duplicate awards will be given.
8. ISO reserves the right to change the tournament format for any age division based on entry numbers, space restrictions or other circumstances.
