Shuffleboard

Schedule: Singles 50-69 - Thursday, June 17 from 8:00-10:00 am                     Singles 70+ - Thursday, June 17 from 10:00 am - Noon                     Doubles 70+  Thursday, June 17 from Noon - 2:00 PM           Doubles 50-69 - Thursday, June 17 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

Divisions:
5-Year Age Brackets (i.e. 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74…)

Entry Regulations:
1. Participants may use their own cues. Cues and disks will be provided.

2. Doubles teams may be of mixed gender.

3. The age division of competition for doubles will be determined by the younger age of the two partners.

4. Doubles partners who qualify together must play together. If one of the partners cannot attend, no substitute partner will be allowed, except as permitted under National Rule E. Athletes may compete with only one partner per sport.

Format:
1. Tournament format will be single elimination within each age group.

2. ISO reserves the right to change the tournament format for any age division based on entry numbers, space restrictions, or other circumstance.

Sport Rules:
1. All shuffleboard matches will be conducted in accordance with National Shuffleboard Association rules, except as modified herein. For a copy of these rules, please write or call:

2. Singles matches will consist of 8 frames. The winner is the player who scores the highest number of points.

3. In Doubles matches each partner shall complete 6 frames. Players will not switch ends after any frame. The team or pair with the highest point score at the end of 12 total frames will be the winners.

4. One practice round will be allowed for each player.

5. One disc will be shot by each player to determine color choice. The disc whose center is nearest to the center of the furthest dead line chooses color. Red shoots first in the first frame, then black, alternating each frame.

6. Discs must be shot from the 10 off area.

7. If a disc does not reach the furthest dead line, it should be immediately removed from the court.

8. Score all discs within and NOT touching lines; separating triangle in 10 off area should be ignored.

9. In case of a tie, two extra frames will be played until the tie is broken.

10. The cue shall not have an overall length of more than 6 feet, 3 inches. No metal part of the cue shall touch the playing surface.
